The Oregon Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) is a professional organization affiliated with the Association of School Business Officials International. OASBO's mission is to support public education by providing resources, programs, activities and training for business officials.

Professional Certification

The Oregon Association of School Business Officials has developed a voluntary professional certification program based on recognized standards of professional competence. These recognized standards are an accumulation of competencies identified by ASBO International, other state and national ASBO affiliates and members of the OASBO Professional Certification Committee (Committee).

OASBO's Professional Certification Program establishes professional standards, training opportunities and recognition for school business officials. The program is designed specifically for school business personnel in the state of Oregon and establishes a framework for continuing skill development within the profession.

Initial Application

If you are applying for certification for the first time, download the Program Manual for complete program information. The manual includes all the forms required for initial application or you can download each form separately below. Help

Initial Application Instructions

A completed application packet will include:

  • Completed and signed application
  • Signed Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct
  • Current district organizational chart
  • Current job description
  • Resume
  • Documentation of degree (e.g., transcripts or certificates). Do not send original documents as they will not be returned.
  • Continuing education credit log

  • Application fee

Under separate cover:

  • Supervisor's evaluation (Form 1 for Specialist and Manager applicants or Form 2 for Administrator applicants)
  • Supervisor's letter of recommendation
